Measles Advisory – Condor 7s Tournament 2025

Health New Zealand Te Whatu Ora has issued a public health advisory due to the current measles outbreak in Aotearoa.

With schools from across the country attending the Condor 7s tournament (27–30 November), we’re encouraging all attendees to help keep our whānau safe.

Key points:

  • Measles is highly contagious and can cause serious illness.
  • Immunisation is the best protection — two doses of the MMR vaccine provide 99% immunity.
  • The MMR vaccine is free for those under 18 and for adults eligible for publicly funded healthcare.
  • Anyone born after 1 January 1969 who hasn’t had two doses should consider getting vaccinated.
  • If you’re feeling unwell or showing symptoms (fever, cough, rash), stay home and seek medical advice.

Let’s work together to keep Condor 7s safe and enjoyable for everyone.
